Recognizing the surge in passenger volume around the festival times, the Railways has scheduled several special trains to cater to this demand.
In line with this initiative, a notable inclusion is the Gati Shakti Superfast Festival Special Train, designated with the train numbers 02246/02245, operating between Patna and New Delhi. This service is a timely response to the festive rush, providing a faster and more efficient travel option for those journeying between these two significant cities.
The Gati Shakti Superfast Festival Special Train embarks on its journey from New Delhi on select dates in November 2023, departing at 23:45 hours and arriving in Patna the following day at 15:50 hours. The train schedule is meticulously designed to include strategic stops at major stations such as Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, and Ara, ensuring a wide range of passengers can benefit from this service.
For the return journey, the train departs from Patna on corresponding dates in November 2023 at 19:00 hours, making its way back to New Delhi with planned stops at the same significant stations, arriving at its destination the next morning. This service highlights the Indian Railways’ commitment to ensuring passenger comfort, particularly during peak travel periods.
Additionally, the Gati Shakti Superfast Festival Special Train boasts 20 coaches of the 3E class, emphasizing the Railways’ readiness to handle the expected increase in passenger numbers effectively.
