Hailing from Bakarpur village in the Sadar block of Munger district, the Chand family has a legacy of serving in the police force. Mohd. Chand, a retiree from the Sub Inspector position in Jharkhand, has a new feather in his family’s cap. His eldest son, Md. Faisal Chand, has marked an exceptional achievement by securing the 15th rank in the BPSC examination, all on his maiden attempt.

A Journey of Dedication and Determination
Faisal’s educational journey saw him attaining his foundational education in Dhanbad. Later, he pursued his matriculation and intermediate examinations from the renowned Jamia Millia Islamia. While many would have settled after completing engineering in 2019, Faisal, driven by his ambition, left his private sector job to wholeheartedly prepare for the BPSC. His dedication bore fruit when he not only cleared the BPSC exam on his very first attempt but also clinched the 15th rank. Given his passion, it was fitting that he was selected for police service.

Behind Faisal’s triumph lies the unwavering support of his family. His parents, Mohd. Chand and Shahina Parveen, along with his two younger siblings pursuing engineering and medicine, have been pillars of strength for him. Sharing his joy, Faisal emphasized the instrumental role his family played in his success journey.
Overwhelmed with pride, his parents expressed their joy and gratitude. “Our son has not only made us proud but has also elevated the name of our village by securing the position of DSP,” remarked an elated Mohd. Chand and Shahina Parveen.
