Tata Motors is currently developing a new petrol engine with the aim of providing enhanced performance to its premium cars. “We are working on a 1.5-liter GDI engine because we know that there will be an increase in demand for petrol vehicles in the future,” Chandra stated.
Earlier this year, Tata Motors launched updated versions of the Safari and Harrier SUVs. Apart from design updates, there were no major changes in either the Safari or Harrier. Both SUVs are powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. There are two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and an automatic. Larger families may still prefer the Safari over the Harrier due to its sportier look.
