In a move that promises to significantly ease transportation for residents of not just Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, but also for those in the Delhi region, a major infrastructure development is on the horizon. This development is largely thanks to the persistent efforts of Uttar Pradesh’s Transport Minister, Dayashankar Singh.

In recognition of the need and following Singh’s appeal, Central Minister Nitin Gadkari has given his approval to connect the renowned Greenfield Expressway to Maldepur. This significant decision aims at further augmenting the connectivity provided by the Purvanchal Expressway, which is designed to link with Ballia. The stretch from Maanjhi to Barachwar will be constructed as part of the Greenfield Expressway.

The groundwork for this massive project, including land acquisition and tendering processes, has already been completed. The people of the region, especially those in Ballia, had been fervently advocating for this connection. Witnessing the overwhelming public demand and understanding its benefits, the transportation department had thus requested the Central Minister for approval.

In response, Minister Gadkari approved the strategic connection from Ballia to the Greenfield Expressway by making a cut at Maldepur and then linking it with the under-construction four-lane road from Maldepur to Kadam Chowk.

The completion of the bidding process for the project indicates that its execution will commence shortly. This infrastructure improvement is bound to offer multiple conveniences to the district’s residents. With direct access to the expressway, journeys to places like Lucknow and Delhi will become considerably easier and faster, benefitting countless commuters and bolstering regional connectivity.
