Tata Motors is gearing up to launch updated versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari following the launch of the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV. The booking for the Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts will officially start on October 6, 2023. These two SUVs are expected to be launched in the market soon.

To reveal the booking date, the domestic manufacturer has also released a teaser video. The Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts will feature a new front fascia, vertically stacked LED headlights, a connected LED light bar, and a new front slatted grille. There aren’t many updates on the sides, except for the addition of black alloy wheels. The rear changes include a new rear bumper, LED taillamps, and a skid plate.

The new Safari and Harrier are expected to come with a larger touchscreen compared to the current Safari. The facelifts may include a modified dashboard design in the cabin. Features such as wireless charging, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats are likely to be retained.

Other external highlights include newly designed alloy wheels, a new paint scheme, updated LED taillamps, and bumper upgrades. The interior will feature an illuminated logo and a new two-spoke steering wheel with touch-based controls for climate control, among other elements. The equipment list will include a nine-speaker JBL audio system, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera system, ADAS, a fully digital instrument console, air purifier, updated dashboard and center console, and much more.

The Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts will continue to be powered by the familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque and will be paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. Additionally, a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol unit may be added to the lineup.

After the launch of the updated Safari and Harrier, Tata Motors plans to launch the Kerb EV next year, following the introduction of its ICE variants.
