The Beginning:
Born and raised in Raxaul, East Champaran, Dr. Anshu Kumari’s affinity for space science was evident early on. Despite the unfortunate loss of her mother in 2008, her father, Prof. Chandram Singh, ensured that Anshu’s spirit and aspirations were never doused.
The Ascendancy:
Dr. Anshu Kumari’s remarkable achievements led her to be selected as a scientist at NASA’s prestigious Goddard Space Flight Center. Under the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, she will delve deep into space-based solar missions, marking February 28th as her inaugural day.
Expertise and Achievements:
Anshu’s repertoire is a blend of hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge. Specializing in the creation of ground-based radio instruments for solar observation and space weather monitoring, she is a force to be reckoned with in astronomical instruments and solar physics.
Education and Accolades:
Anshu’s educational journey commenced in Raxaul, with her foundational schooling followed by higher studies at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Piprakothi. She pursued her B.Tech from RCEW Jaipur and later obtained an MTech with an integrated PhD degree from IIA Bangalore. Her expertise did not go unnoticed; she was awarded the best thesis in Astrophysics at IIT Roorkee and subsequently received the Young Scientist Award multiple times in different institutions across India.
International Stints:
Post her academic pursuits, Dr. Anshu spent two enriching years as a post-doctoral researcher at Helsinki University, Finland, further honing her skills and knowledge.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, Anshu’s father, Prof. Chandram Singh, remained her staunchest supporter. A retired professor from KCTC College, Raxaul, he instilled in her the values of diligence and the importance of education.
