Bhojpur district’s very own Zeba Arshi has become an inspiration for countless aspiring students across the state. Rising above the challenges and without the crutch of coaching institutes, she has managed to secure the prestigious position of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) by ranking 185th in the 67th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination.

Hailing from the humble Sedaha village of Bhojpur, Zeba’s educational journey is testament to her determination and commitment. Being the proud daughter of Master Janab Abdul Koodoos Sahab, her achievement has brought immense pride and joy to her family and village.

Remarkably, Zeba’s entire education, right from her schooling to her graduation, was completed at home. Despite the challenges posed by her rural surroundings, she managed to excel in her studies. Her academic journey saw her completing matriculation from Pushpa High School in Piro in 2013, followed by graduation from the VKSU affiliated Mahatma Gandhi Degree College in Laharabad.

The village setting did come with its share of limitations. Yet, the digital age came to Zeba’s rescue, enabling her to access a plethora of information and knowledge through the internet. This self-reliance and commitment to her goal, combined with the support of her parents, paved the way for her success.

Her parents, with their modest backgrounds in education, have always been her pillars of strength. Her father, Mohammad Kuddum, an accomplished mathematics tutor, and her mother, Asmat Jahan, a dedicated Talimi Markaz teacher, couldn’t be prouder. As her mother jubilantly puts it, “My daughter has cleared the BPSC. It’s time for her to aim for the UPSC now.
