The showrunners of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power had also clarified for certain if Galadriel's groom Celeborn is truly dead in the story arc.

Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) keeps mentioning to Theo (Tyroe Muhafidin) in episode seven, The Sight, that she lost her husband Celeborn in the battle against Morgoth.

Whereas it isn't stated explicitly, Galadriel appears to assume Celeborn is mortal, stating that she hasn't seen him since the disagreement.

If real, Celeborn's dying would represent a significant departure from J.R.R. Tolkien's original source.

The character appears in his manuscripts throughout Middle-Second earth's and Third Ages. Galadriel will never have their baby girl Celebrian, who marries Elrond, if Celeborn is not alive.

Throughout a Conversation for the seventh episode, series creator JD Payne taunted that Celeborn's destiny was left "ambiguous" for a purpose.

Payne stated, "[Galadriel] says she never saw him again." “Ambigious. And authors understand that they do stuff together in aspects of future offspring that they will produce.

The Rings Of Power, focusing on the Lord Of The Rings trilogy's annotations, tends to cover events in Middle-Second earth's Age, along with the emergence of Sauron and the crafting of the rings.
