Mahindra XUV300 facelift: The 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift and 5-door Thar were recently spotted undergoing testing together, hinting at the possibility of both models being launched in the first half of next year.

Mahindra has been testing the facelifted XUV300 and 5-door Thar on Indian roads for several months now. The updated XUV300 has undergone significant development, with new LED daytime running lights visible along with clear updates to the front and rear design.

The test mule of the XUV300 showcased C-shaped LED DRLs, similar to those seen on the XUV700. However, it cannot be confirmed whether the new headlights are production-spec or not. The fully updated front design features a vertical slat grille that can be adorned with twin-pix logos. The grille section also includes vertical slats and an air intake below it.

Elsewhere, the updated compact SUV features redesigned front and rear bumpers, with alloy wheels resembling those on the TurboSport variant. At the rear, a C-shaped LED tail lamp signature connects the two rear doors, and a prominent integrated spoiler and high-mounted stop lamp can also be seen.

We previously mentioned that the interior of the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 will undergo a significant change compared to the current model. It is expected to receive a large floating touchscreen infotainment system, updated dashboard and center console, and possibly a new instrument console. For performance, the familiar 1.2-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter turbo diesel engines are expected to continue.

Mahindra, the domestic SUV manufacturer, confirmed some time ago that the 5-door Thar would be introduced next year. The images show a prototype with black-finished star-shaped alloy wheels. Apart from that, no other significant exterior details have been noted, except for the two rear doors being present.

The current 2.0-liter mStallion petrol and 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engines are expected to power the 5-door Thar, paired with a manual or automatic transmission option on all four wheels.
