Let me tell you that before this only 3 airports were basically providing service in the state, the first being Jai Prakash Narayan Airport of the capital Patna and the second being Gaya and the third being Darbhanga which was built recently a few years ago. In such a situation, the Nitish cabinet has given approval for an airport in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Also, friends, apart from all these, there is a demand for building airports in many other places of Bihar also. For example, people have been demanding for many years to build airports in Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Raxaul and Bihta.
In this context, it has been told that this airport is to be completely built in greenfield and it will be built in Goradih of Bhagalpur. Very soon the process of land acquisition will also be started and a total of 475 acres of land is required for this.
Apart from this, approval has also been received from the Cabinet to build a grand airport in Rajgir in Nalanda district of Bihar. Now with its construction, there will be a total of 5 airports in the state. This will reduce the pressure on the remaining first 3 airports and will also provide more benefits to the people around these districts.
