Maruti Suzuki has recently made a significant impact in the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) market with the launch of its updated Ertiga, dubbed the ‘Ertiga 2023’, at the Philippine International Motor Show. This 7-seater vehicle is a blend of luxury and functionality, offering 14 different variants and a choice of 6 colors. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission options, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The Ertiga 2023 stands out with its sophisticated exterior design. It features a new dynamic chrome wing front grill and chrome-inserted back door, adding a touch of elegance. The vehicle comes with alloy wheels available in two different colors, enhancing its overall appeal. In terms of lighting, it boasts 3D origami style LED tail lamps and retractable ORVMs in the rear lamps, combining style with functionality.
Inside, the Ertiga 2023 is just as impressive. It replaces the previous 7-inch touchscreen unit with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, equipped with SmartPlay Pro technology. Under the hood, the Ertiga 2023 is powered by a robust 1462cc 4-cylinder engine, complying with BS6 emission standards. It features a 45-liter fuel tank and is equipped with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, along with a 360-degree camera for enhanced safety. The interior includes roof-mounted AC in the second row and air-cooled twin cup holders, adding to passenger comfort.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Ertiga 2023 is equipped with a K15 petrol engine, integrated with progressive smart hybrid technology. Maruti Suzuki claims that the petrol version can deliver a mileage of 20.51 km per liter, while the CNG version can offer up to 26.11 km per kilogram.
As for the pricing, the Ertiga 2023 is competitively priced, starting at ₹8.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Safety has been a key focus, with four airbags provided in the front row, ensuring passenger safety.
