During the festive seasons of Diwali and Chhath, it’s a tradition for many to head back to their hometowns. As the season approaches, many travelers find it challenging to get train seats due to the heavy rush. Recognizing this, the railways have some good news, especially for those from Purvanchal and Bihar. Special train services are set to make journeys between major cities like Delhi and Mumbai more comfortable during these festivals.

Responding to the surge in passenger numbers, the railway administration has announced several trains to cater to the increased demand. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer, emphasized that these special trains would provide much-needed relief to the passengers.

Here are some of the notable train services on the Gorakhpur route:

  • Gorakhpur-Pune Special (Train No. 01432) will operate every Saturday from November 21 to December 2, passing through Gonda and Lucknow.
  • Pune-Gorakhpur Special (Train No. 01431) will run every Friday from November 20 to December 1, following the same route.
  • Gorakhpur-Mahbubnagar Special (Train No. 05303) will operate every Saturday until November 25, passing through Gonda and Aishbagh. … [Note: List can be expanded based on requirements]
