Following this robust response, the company has announced a price hike for the model, which currently retails at an ex-showroom price of 62.95 lakh rupees.

Jyoti Malhotra, the Director of Volvo Car India, expressed satisfaction over the car’s reception, highlighting that it was launched at a price of 61.25 lakh rupees and has garnered immense interest within just a month. The company aims to revolutionize the electric mobility sector in India, and the C40 Recharge is expected to be a significant draw during the upcoming festive season.

Their first electric offering, the XC40 Recharge, boasts a commendable range of 418 to 550 kilometers on a single charge. Meanwhile, the assembly of the C40 Recharge is currently taking place in their Bengaluru-based plant, equipped with an 11-kilowatt charger, and the company is facilitating online bookings for the model.

Volvo offers a reassuring 8-year warranty or coverage for up to 160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, on the battery.
Performance-wise, the electric SUV can reach a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. Furthermore, once fully charged, it can cover a distance ranging from 530 to 683 kilometers. Storage is ample with a 31-liter front storage space and a generous 413-liter boot space at the rear.
