Dreams, they say, fuel the spirit, and few embody this more than Mamta Yadav. With unwavering dedication, she successfully conquered the UPSC exam not once but twice, ensuring her place in the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
A Proud Haryana Native:
At the age of 24, Mamta Yadav, hailing from Haryana, emerged as a beacon of inspiration for young aspirants nationwide. The year 2020 marked her grand success in the Civil Services Examination, earning her the esteemed IAS title.
Perseverance Pays Off:
Mamta’s journey to IAS was anything but instantaneous. For four long years, she rigorously prepared for the Civil Services Examination. Her initial success came in 2019, clinching the 556th rank.
A Rank Not Enough:
Although an achievement in itself, the 556th rank did not grant her the IAS role she coveted. Undeterred and fueled by encouragement from her family, particularly her parents, Mamta remained steadfast in her IAS pursuit.
Double Triumph with Dedication:
Not one to rest on past laurels, Mamta immersed herself again in preparations. Even as she began training for the Indian Railway Personnel Service, her heart stayed with her IAS dream. Her persistence bore fruit when she remarkably secured the fifth rank in her subsequent attempt, finally realizing her IAS dream.
Roots and Education:
Mamta’s roots trace back to Basai village in Haryana. Her father, Ashok Yadav, works diligently in a private company, while her mother, Saroj Devi, is the nurturing force of their home. Mamta’s educational journey started in Delhi’s Balwant Rai Mehta School, stretching up to the 12th grade, followed by her graduation from the eminent Hindu College, Delhi University.
The Making of an IAS Officer:
Post her school graduation, Mamta’s focus shifted to Delhi University, from where she successfully graduated. It was here that her vision to crack the UPSC became clearer. Striking a balance between self-study and coaching, she leaned on resources like NCERT and various other scholarly books to guide her through the examination process.
