From a young age, Ritika harbored a deep aspiration to become an IAS officer. She was inspired by the heroic tales of figures like Lala Lajpat Rai and Bhagat Singh, who had devoted their lives to serving the nation. This early inspiration fueled her resolve to prepare for the UPSC exam, with the aim of contributing significantly to her country.
Hailing from Moga, Punjab, Ritika completed her early education in her hometown. She displayed exceptional academic prowess from the start and even emerged as the top performer in all of North India in the CBSE board 12th-grade examinations.
Following her 12th-grade success, Ritika pursued her undergraduate studies at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. There, she achieved an impressive academic record, securing the third position in the entire college with a remarkable 95 percent. During her college years, Ritika commenced her preparations for the UPSC exam, staying true to her aspiration.
After completing her college education, Ritika courageously faced the UPSC exam for the first time. Though she successfully cleared all three stages of the examination, she narrowly missed making it to the final list by a few marks. Despite this setback, Ritika’s spirit remained unbroken, and she resolved to make a second attempt.
Undaunted by her initial failure, Ritika Jindal poured her heart and soul into her preparations for the UPSC exam. In 2018, she made her second attempt, demonstrating resilience and unwavering determination. This time, her hard work paid off, as Ritika secured the 88th rank in the All India Civil Services Examination, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming an IAS officer.
