Mission Raniganj: Akshay Kumar, one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, is making headlines yet again with his latest offering, “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue”. Slated for release on 6th October, the film has not only garnered attention but has also won accolades even before its official release. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), known to be stringent with its evaluations, has shown a thumbs up to the film, awarding it a U/A certificate.

According to a report from The Times of India, the film impressed CBFC members to such an extent that it received a standing ovation post the screening. Such gestures are rare and stand as a testament to the film’s gripping narrative and commendable performances.

In “Mission Raniganj”, Akshay Kumar slips into the role of Jaswant Singh Gill, adding another notable character to his illustrious filmography. Accompanying him in this cinematic journey is the talented Parineeti Chopra, who essays the leading female role. The ensemble cast also boasts names like Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, and Jamil Khan, each bringing their unique flavor to the table.

Drawing a contrast to Akshay’s recent venture, “OMG 2”, focused on the theme of sex education, faced a tougher stance from the CBFC. The film was handed an ‘A’ certificate and was suggested 27 cuts. Such a vast difference in reception for two back-to-back films showcases Akshay’s ability to traverse a wide range of topics, making him one of the industry’s most dynamic actors.
