Delving into his past, Shah Rukh shared, “My paternal grandmother hailed from Kashmir. My father always listed three must-visit places during one’s lifetime, whether you settle there or not. Those were Istanbul, Rome in Italy, and the enchanting Kashmir.”
He continued with a nostalgic twinge in his eyes, “Over the years, numerous opportunities arose for me to visit Kashmir. Friends extended invites; family members went on vacations there. Yet, I refrained. My father had once told me, ‘Never explore the beauty of Kashmir without me by your side. I promise, one day, I will show it to you.'”
Even though the actor has graced many scenic landscapes during his film shoots, the poignant memory of his father’s wish keeps him from visiting the mesmerizing valleys of Kashmir.
