Yamaha FZ-S FI V4: Yamaha has launched two new colors for the popular FZ-S FI V4 in the domestic market. The entry-level naked motorcycle now comes in Dark Matte Blue and Matte Black, adding to the existing range of five colors. The new colors have been introduced during the festive season to attract more customers, and they are priced at INR 1,28,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Yamaha FZ-S FI V4 continues to be powered by a 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC 2-valve Fi engine, which delivers a maximum power of 12.4 PS at 7,250 RPM and a maximum torque of 13.3 Nm at 5,500 RPM. The bike features a front disc and rear drum brake setup, as well as an LED instrument console, LED headlamp, tire hugger, side-mounted exhaust system, Traction Control System (TCS), Yamaha’s Y-connect Bluetooth-enabled application, single-channel ABS, black alloy wheels, and a black engine cowl.

The fuel tank capacity is 13 liters, and the bike weighs 136 kilograms. It comes with LED tail lamp, LED turn indicators, 100/80-17 front and 140/60-17 rear radial tires, mono-shock suspension with 120mm wheel travel, single-piece seat, single-piece grab rail, chrome duct plating, and 3D badges.

In December 2023, Yamaha will launch the YZF-R3 and MT-03 in the Indian market. These bikes will be powered by a 321cc parallel-twin fuel-injected engine that produces around 42 horsepower. The powertrain will be mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper and assist clutch as standard.

Yamaha will bring these bikes to India through the CKD route and they will be sold exclusively through the Blue Square dealership. The prices are expected to be around INR 4 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Yamaha R3 will compete with the KTM 390 RC and the upcoming locally-made Aprilia 457.
