Hyundai, the South Korean automotive brand, has achieved remarkable success in India during the month of September. The company recorded a total sales figure of 71,641 units, including domestic sales and exports. This marks a 13.35% increase compared to September 2022, where 63,201 units were sold. It is worth noting that this month’s sales make it the highest recorded sales for Hyundai India.

In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 54,241 units, which is the highest sales figure the company has achieved since its establishment in India. This represents a 9.13% increase compared to the 49,700 units sold in September 2022.

Hyundai’s range of vehicles in India includes the affordable Grand i10 Nios hatchback and the premium Ioniq 5 electric car, among others. The Grand i10 Nios not only offers affordability but also offers excellent features. On the other end of the spectrum, the Ioniq 5 provides advanced technology and a luxury driving experience.

During September 2023, Hyundai also exported 17,400 units. This reflects a 28.87% year-on-year growth rate and an increase of 3,899 units in volume compared to the previous year.

Looking ahead, Hyundai may launch a new MPV to compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Kia Carens. Additionally, a facelifted version of the Creta compact SUV and an electric variant may also be introduced. These potential launches, including the Ioniq 5 electric car and the ICee model in 2024 and 2025, respectively, showcase Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and growth in the Indian market.
