In the bustling hub of Ernakulam railway station, among the myriad travelers and sounds of whistles, emerged an inspiring story that challenges our understanding of determination and resourcefulness.

Humble Beginnings:

Kerala’s own Srinath stood out, not just among the porters carrying luggage but as an epitome of ambition. Born into economic hardship, Srinath shouldered the responsibility of being the sole breadwinner for his family. By 2018, a spark ignited within him – a desire for greater prospects and a brighter future for his daughter.

The Dream of Civil Services:

While the dream of cracking the Civil Services Examination burned bright, Srinath’s financial constraints cast a daunting shadow. Unable to afford coaching, he feared that the prestigious UPSC remained an unattainable goal. It led him to set sights on the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) instead.

Blessing in Disguise:

It was amidst these doubts and aspirations that the free WiFi at Ernakulam station became his beacon of hope. Equipped with just his smartphone and an insatiable will to learn, Srinath dove deep into online lessons and resources. The platform transformed into his classroom, and between loading luggage, he absorbed knowledge.

A Stepping Stone:

Through sheer dedication, Srinath conquered the KPSC, bolstering his belief in the power of self-study. The success became his springboard, and he set his eyes on the grander UPSC prize, confident that the station’s WiFi would guide him through.

The Arduous Journey:

Despite the resources at hand, the journey was far from smooth. Without structured coaching, the intricate UPSC syllabus posed significant challenges. The initial three attempts met with setbacks. But where most would’ve seen failure, Srinath saw lessons. His unwavering spirit and relentless efforts finally bore fruit in the fourth attempt, culminating in his much-deserved success.
