Success Story: In the quaint town of Saharsa, tales of perseverance and hope echo through the streets. None, however, resound as strongly as the story of Lakshmi Jha, who dared to touch the sky, quite literally.

Scaling Chandrashila

Lakshmi Jha is not your ordinary young woman. From Saharsa to the majestic Chandrashila temple in Uttarakhand, her journey has been nothing short of inspirational. Situated at a towering altitude of 4,000 meters, Chandrashila witnessed a moment of pride when Lakshmi, in a mere two hours, reached its summit and hoisted the tricolor.

Rooted in Resilience

The driving force behind Lakshmi’s indomitable spirit is her mother, Sarita Devi. Life dealt Sarita a harsh blow when her husband, Vinod Jha, passed away, leaving her with four children to care for. In a society where the sudden demise of the sole breadwinner can destabilize a family, Sarita Devi’s resilience was tested.

Sarita Devi’s Endeavor

Determined not to let her family succumb to adversity, Sarita Devi embraced the role of both mother and father. She began working in various households, managing their kitchens, ensuring that her children never felt the sting of poverty. Her selfless dedication became the cornerstone upon which the family stood firm.

Siblings’ Support

While Lakshmi pursued her studies with unwavering focus, her elder brother, Shyam, contributed to the family’s sustenance by opening a bookshop in the village. It was amidst these pages of knowledge and stories of adventure that Lakshmi first dreamt of scaling the towering heights of Mount Everest and hoisting the tricolor atop.

Future Aspirations

Lakshmi’s ambitions do not stop at Chandrashila. She now has her sights set on Black Mountain, standing tall at 6.5 thousand meters. And her ultimate goal? The majestic Mount Everest. Preparations are underway, and with the same determination that has brought her this far, Lakshmi is poised to conquer Everest next year.
