Manohar Lal Thakur, Hitesh’s father, brews his passion daily at ‘Jalpa Tea-Stall’, a modest tea shop that overlooks the sprawling valleys of the region. Simultaneously, Hitesh’s mother contributes to the community’s growth and well-being, working diligently as an Anganwadi worker. Their professions may seem commonplace, but their commitment to their son’s education is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Thakur couple worked relentlessly, day in and day out, ensuring every possible opportunity was provided for Hitesh’s education. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India released the final results of their rigorous examination, and amidst the names of successful candidates was Hitesh Thakur. The news brought immense joy and pride to the village, placing Garlauni on the map for an entirely different and commendable reason.

Hitesh’s educational journey started with the foundational teachings he received from his village school. This base allowed him to transition and excel in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pandoh, where he completed both his high school and intermediate examinations. Over six years, Hitesh put in tireless effort and, at the tender age of 23, he achieved a monumental success that many aspire to but few attain.
