The concept of rapid train in this direction was prepared in the last century itself, but the dream of running on its track is still in the eyes.
Also, if we tell you about this project, it is preparing a DPR. But its approval has not been received yet. Only one Delhi Meerut corridor is progressing. The DPR is awaiting approval from the Union Housing and Urban Development Ministry from 2019.
Allocation in the budget every year for the Delhi-Meerut corridor for the last six years\B by the Center for the financial year 2024-25 under NCR 2025 then in the functional plan on transportation of NCR 2032 from Delhi to Meerut, Rewari, Panipat, Palwal, Rohtak. And is going to provide connectivity to Baraut.
Apart from this, proposals have also been made for three priority RRTS corridors in the first phase – Delhi-Meerut (82 km), Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar (198 km) and Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat.
