In a significant political development in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav hailed Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari as a figure synonymous with development, while extending a crucial request for the region of Bhagalpur.

This event unfolded during Gadkari’s visit to Bihar on Monday, where he inaugurated the 92 km long four-lane Buxar-Koilwar road. The ceremony, held in Churamanpur, Buxar, saw the attendance of numerous prominent leaders, marking it as a noteworthy occasion in the state’s infrastructural progress.

In an interesting turn of events at the inauguration, Gadkari invited Tejashwi Yadav to Delhi, encouraging him and other leaders to come with a clear agenda for Bihar’s development. The Union Minister emphasized the necessity for Bihar to progress and shine, urging it to join the ranks of other progressive states.

Responding to this, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav proposed an extension of the Purvanchal Expressway up to Bhagalpur. He underscored that such an extension would greatly benefit the people of Bhagalpur, enhancing connectivity and convenience.

Yadav, in his address, lavished praise on Gadkari, stating that the Union Minister’s name is synonymous with development. He commended the remarkable work done by Gadkari, especially in removing the hindrances of 53 rail overbridges (ROBs) during his tenure.

Moreover, Tejashwi Yadav seized this opportunity to put forth a significant demand for Bihar – the grant of special state status. He confidently assured Gadkari that with continued developmental efforts, Bihar is on its way to becoming one of the country’s five most progressive states.
