Royal Enfield has announced the launch of the production version of the Shotgun 650 that was showcased at MotoVarg show last month. The plan is to launch this new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 in the global market early next year. The bike will be available in four color options: Plasma Blue, Stenciled White, Green Drizzle, and Sheetmetal Grey.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is built on the 650-Twin platform, which has also been used for the production of the Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650, and Continental GT 650. The production version of the SG650 concept was first revealed at the EICMA 2021.

The bike features a similar design to the MotoVarg edition and includes several Super Meteor features such as LED headlight and tripper navigation pod. The company is offering both single-seater and pillion seat options, along with satin handlebars and mid-set footpegs.

In terms of the engine, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 features a 648cc parallel-twin, 4-stroke, SOHC engine. It is air-cooled and capable of generating a maximum power of 46.3hp at 7250rpm and a peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5650rpm. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox and is said to have a fuel efficiency of 22 kilometers per liter.

The bike has a wheelbase of 1465mm, a ground clearance of 140mm, and measures 2170mm in length, 820mm in width, and 1105mm in height. It weighs 240 kilograms and has a 13.8-liter fuel tank. It is equipped with an 18-inch wheel in the front and a 17-inch wheel in the rear.
