This incident raises concerns about the effectiveness of the security measures in place at the Parliament House, traditionally seen as a stronghold of safety and order.

Coincidentally, this incident occurred around the time of the anniversary of the 2001 attack on the Parliament. On December 13, key political figures, including Prime Minister Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, gathered to pay homage to the martyrs of the 2001 attack. This convergence of events underscores the symbolic significance of the breach.

In the wake of this security lapse, protests erupted outside the Parliament. Demonstrators voiced their discontent with slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” (Victory to Mother India), “Jai Bhim” (a nod to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a key figure in Indian history), and expressions of opposition to authoritarianism.

One of the accused has been identified as Anmol Shinde, a 25-year-old from Latur, Maharashtra. Anmol’s father, Dhanraj Shinde, has become a focal point in the investigation, offering insights into the potential motivations and background of the breach.
