Since its launch in 2017, the Tata Nexon has consistently held a prominent position in the Indian market. One of the key factors contributing to its enduring popularity is its 5-star safety rating. This accolade, awarded by the Global NCAP, is a significant endorsement of the vehicle’s safety standards and has been a major selling point for Tata. This focus on safety has positively impacted the Nexon’s sales figures, particularly evident in its performance in November, when it clinched the title of the top-selling SUV.
In November 2023, Tata Nexon’s sales figures reached 14,916 units. However, this was a slight decrease from November 2022, when 15,871 units were sold, marking a 6 percent year-on-year decline. Despite this, the Nexon outperformed other popular SUVs in its category, including heavyweights like the Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue, as well as the Hyundai Creta.
Interestingly, another Tata SUV, the Tata Punch, also showcased impressive sales figures, underscoring Tata Motors’ dominance in this segment. In November 2023, the Tata Punch sold 14,383 units, marking a significant 19% increase from the 12,131 units sold in November 2022.
