The demand for electric vehicles in India is growing rapidly, especially with the government providing subsidies to encourage their purchase. However, the high cost of electric cars has been a barrier for many potential buyers. In response to this, a Mumbai-based EV startup, PMV Electric, has introduced its first electric car in India.

The car, named EaS-E, is priced at Rs 4.79 lakh ex-showroom, and the initial price will be offered to the first 10,000 customers. This introductory price will be followed by even more affordable options for customers. The EaS-E is the smallest electric car available for purchase in the country, designed for urban use with enough space to accommodate two adults and a child. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for city driving, with a length of 2,915 mm, width of 1,157 mm, and height of 1,600 mm. The wheelbase is 2,087 mm, and the ground clearance is 170 mm, with a weight of approximately 550 kilograms.

The PMV EaS-E will be available in three variants, each offering a driving range of 120 to 200 kilometers on a full charge. The company claims that the car’s battery can be fully charged in just 4 hours using a 3kW AC charger provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, the car comes equipped with digital infotainment system, USB charging port, air conditioning, remote keyless entry and park assist, cruise control, and seat belts.
