Recent testing of the facelifted version of MG Motors India’s flagship Gloster SUV was seen in India. The testing model was skilfully disguised, making most of the expected changes in the body panels unclear. The current version of Gloster is available in India since 2020 and has received some updates in its exterior and features. However, the future model is expected to have other appropriate changes as well.

Based on the available pictures, the three-row SUV has undergone a redesigned rear profile, including a new bumper, taillights, and repositioned reflectors. Additionally, it includes integrated high-mounted stop lamps, a roof spoiler with washer, rear wiper, dual exhaust tips, side steps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and door-mounted ORVMs. However, the testing model does not have roof rails, which is present in the current version as a standard.

In terms of mechanics, the facelifted MG Gloster is expected to have an improved powertrain for better performance. The current version offers two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo diesel and a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine, both paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The launch of the facelifted MG Gloster is expected in 2024. Once available, it will continue to compete in the full-size SUV segment against the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.
